My Role
Conducted user reserach and devloped opportunities, developed and conceptualised the busines model and the pricing strategy for the co working space, and collaborated with the UI/UX designer to visualize the user journey and experince.
Project Outcome
A mission to promote Black entrepreneurship, we outlined a 3-in-1 sustainable model for The Culturist Union’s inclusive co-working space. Supported with its own networking app The Union, we looked at incorporating a “phygital” experience for community engagement at TCU through personalised seating options, events and virtual visiting cards. A multi-purpose space that could potentially transform conversations over a cup of coffee into a meaningful collaboration.

The research tells us that the people who preffer co-working spaces are looking for opportunities to expand their network and to utilize professional amenities that they would not be able to afford otherwise.

A Community feeling cannot be forced,
it has be nurtured, cultivated and preserved.
Moreso, it comes from within and individuals
need to have a space that resonates with that sentiment.

The business model included Four parts -
- Coffee Shop: Revenue generated through the sales of coffee, baked breakfast goods and other packed goods. These items would be sourced from local bakers.
- Co-working: Revenue generated through a flexible subscription/leasing plan. Low cost with add-on features. Premium members get acess to the events relevant to their work requirements.
- Marketplace: Part of the shop will be furnished by the sellers, vendors, who wants to sell furnitiures, home decor, office decor, lifestyle acessories. This is the partnership between the owner and the local entreprenures with in turn reduces the variable cost.
- Event/Incubator: Event, talks, discussion that tap into the community aspect will be conducted on a weekly basis. The revenue would be generated through sales for certain tailored events
